Greeting to XLRI, School of Business and Human Resources Management
XLRI was established in 1949 in the Steel City of Jamshedpur by Fr Quinn Enright, S.J. Fr. Enright envisiond XLRI to be a co-worker in the deliverance and expansion journey of the self-determining India with a dream of “renewing the features of the earth”. Fr. Bill Tome linked hands in the company of him to carry that dream to fruition. Both, in common with the other Jesuit companions, effort determinedly towards interpreting the Vision “Renewing the expression of the earth” into act.
Over a lot of years XLRI has enlarged its personal uniqueness. The hall mark of this individuality is, not to stamp on the trodden path but to hit latest routes; not to standard but to be bench marked, to be next to nothing. But to be the primary to react to the requirements of the populace and the nation, by embracing the missions which are brave but essential which no one has hitherto in use up.This pioneering spirit and enterprising can be observed all the way through the history of XLRI.
